Every Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm, The Food Pantry opens its doors at St. Gregory’s to provide fresh, healthy groceries to more than 500 neighbors at risk of hunger.

- Saturdays, 11 AM – 1 PM
- Volunteer check-in: 9-10 AM
What began as a church ministry has grown into one of San Francisco’s largest independent food assistance programs, distributing tons of nutritious food each week—all without government funding.
While now operating as an independent non-profit, The Food Pantry continues to gather in our welcoming space, serving residents from neighborhoods south of Market Street. This vital work depends entirely on community generosity and dedicated volunteers of all ages who create a warm, dignified experience for our neighbors.

The Food Pantry is run entirely by volunteers. Volunteers of all ages are welcome at the Food Pantry. About 500 families are served fresh food every week only because of our volunteers. Click the button below to learn more about volunteering this Saturday.
