How we measure a year
Rhythms of Faith + Community
At St. Gregory’s, we organize our liturgical year around a plan to read the Bible in thematic clusters we call ‘‘seasons.” All of these seasons revolve around the central events of Jesus’ death and resurrection, which are the foundation of our faith.
From the solemnity of Holy Week to the festive joy of Cookies and Carols, these photos capture our community celebrating the rhythms of our life together. We hope you’ll imagine yourself joining us—connecting and finding your place among us.
HOLY WEEK + EASTER
Easter is coming!
Our most significant celebrations happen during the spring festivals of Holy Week and Easter as we immerse ourselves in the mysteries of Christ’s passion and new life. Countdown with us to the Easter Vigil…

THE SUMMER
Celebrating Pentecost + Community
In the summer, we celebrate Pentecost — the coming of the Holy Spirit. Then we enter a season of hearing stories of Jesus’ earthly ministry. In late summer or early fall our community has a tradition of going on retreat together over a weekend. All ages sing, feast, pray, and play together.

AUTUMN
Advent + Christmas
When fall arrives, we focus on the royal identity of Christ in our readings. We celebrate St. Francis with animal blessings, remember loved ones on All Saints & All Souls, and share our garden harvest at Thanksgiving. Advent invites reflection as we prepare for Christmas, featuring our beloved Carols & Cookies tradition. Children bring the Christmas story to life in a pageant, and our choir inspires us during a beautiful Christmas Eve service.
